PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS
Do I have a personal injury case?
A. The answer to this question is not always clear and is often dictated by the specific events and facts for your particular claim and so you should seek legal advice. However, if you have suffered an injury or if your immediate family member has died as a result of injury and the injuries or death were caused by the negligence or by fault of another person or entity, you could have a claim.

How long do I have to file a lawsuit?
A. Every state has laws that govern the time period in which you can file a lawsuit for your particular type of claim. These laws are commonly referred to as “statutes of limitation,” and can bar your potential claims and any recovery you may be entitled to, if your claims are not handled and presented in a timely and appropriate manner. Therefore, if you have a claim or believe you have a claim, you should contact an attorney to discuss your case immediately.

I’ve been involved in a wreck, do I need a lawyer?
A. Not always. There are times when a lawyer will not always be of benefit to you. If you have had an accident and have not sustained any injury and are only trying to resolve your claims for the damage to your property, you often do not need an attorney. However, if you sustained an injury you should seek legal advice from an attorney before you speak with any insurance company or adjuster. You provide your lawyer the best opportunity to achieve the best possible results when they are involved from the beginning, but regardless of what stage of your case, if you do not have an attorney and have concerns, you should consult an attorney to discuss your options.
